The Homer Golf Course was built from a labor of love in 1982. This course started as a small project that took shape over the years. When looking around and playing the course you will find a love of the game like no other. In a modern day of course designers, green architects, and computer layouts the Homer Golf Course shows you a different side of the game. One that those who truly love the game can appreciate. The greens are natural and challenging, but at the same time roll true. All of the holes offer a unique short game challenge that will keep you coming back for more.
The locals have been enjoying this course for 30 years and it still has the nostalgia of simpler times. In 2014 the course was sold to the new owners Scott and Esa Woodland. They are young enthusiasts that would love to meet you for a few holes. They have pledged to take this Alaskan gem to its full potential. "We have set our goals to have the best greens in the state, and eventually turn this into a world famous course." Scott and Esa want to build a mini Augusta for all to play and visit in Alaska.
For anyone visiting or living in Alaska this course is a must play and see. Come grasp the best view of any course I have ever seen and take a leisurely stroll through one of Alaska's most special sites.
